Noise, normally, appears as blackish /
grayish spots, lint or dirty, trashy areas and may be best
described, by us old timers, as "snow". Snow was common on
the older analogue televisions, the weaker the signal the more
snow on the image being projected. The signal strength
could be affected by numerous things such as electrical
interference, temperature and equipment (television's tuner,
antenna, cables, etc.).
