Tagged Image File Format,
also known as "TIFF", ".tiff" and ".tif", files contain
bit-mapped data. In addition to being a widely supported
format, TIFF is able to handle the color palette needed for
professional-quality images and graphics. NOTE: TIFF files are so large that they are
practically unusable on the internet because of the required
load time. We recommend TIFF for photo printing. For
internet usage; consider a compressed file such as
jpg/jpeg or gif. |
